Verbs Classification

Verbs ක්‍රියා වර්ගීකරනය
  • 1) Lexical verbs (go,come,see,know,try,have,say..etc)
Lexical verbs can be divided in to two

Transitive (give,eat,tell,select..etc)
Intransitive (go,be,cry,live...etc)
  • 2) Auxilary verbs (be,have,do,must,could ,would,can..etc)
Auxilary verbs can be divided in to three

Semi model (have to, need to, used to...)
primary Auxilaries (be , have,do...)
Model Auxilaries (can,could,may,might,shall,should,will...)

Why English is the international language?

Because aviation required a common language for safety as it became a common an commercial means to travel.

The English-speaking countries, taken together, have about 400 million native speakers. Nearly all these countries are prosperous; they are well spread around the world - and of course they include the world's only real super-power- the US.
